May Glossybox

This month was GlossyBox's first Birthday! So of course great things were expected in this months box.
When I opened my box, the first thing I pulled out were the Eldora false eyelashes and showed them my Dad who laughed and said "When are you going to wear them? Perhaps if Ash ever decides to become a drag act" haha!! These are far too over the top for me and I have no idea why they decided this would be good for my box (as I'm sure in that little questionnaire I said I go for a more "natural" look on my eyes and this certainly isn't that haha!). But whatever, I am really impressed with everything else I got so it could of been worse!
My favourite product this month so far is the Osmo Berber Oil hair treatment which claims to provide "transformational results"! Oooh! I've only used this once so far but it certainly transformed my hair in the first use. It got rid of frizz, made it look glossy and just made it feel all around in better condition! Although, a full size version of this (100ml) would be £19.99 so unless I find that I possibly couldn't live without this product when I'm finished with the 10ml bottle, I doubt I will be repurchasing.
Next, the Noble Isle Summer Rising Bath and Shower Gel and this smells (I hate to have to say this but) so luxury! It pretty much smells like a really really fancy shower gel that you would get at a really really fancy hotel (really? really! *cough*). Anyway, it's described to smell like the beginnings of summer although I think  I would of preferred a more fruity scent to describe summer but hey ho, each to their own! The full size of this product is 250ml (sample size is a 75ml) and sells at £20 on their site. Ouuf! That is quite a lot for a shower gel.
Finally, the two products I'm not to bothered about; The Lolita Lempicka perfume samples and the Apivita "Express Beauty Masks". First of all for the perfume samples, they look adorable and a spray sample is always great! I do prefer the original perfume sample as it's like something I would wear on a day-to-day basis, but their new Si Lolita I'm not to fond of. It's described as spicy and that doesn't really float my boat so this will be going off to a relative of mine I'm sure! Last, the face masks and all I really have to say about these is "eh". I haven't used one yet and I honestly don't see me trying them out, mainly because they're the orange masks and I'm not sure I'm going to like that all up on my face.

OPI New York City Ballet Miniatures!

Recently on the website BuyaPowa (which by the way I'm obsessed with) they had these OPI polishes which I was able to get for £7.95! I've never tried OPI nail polish so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give them a whirl!
Firstly, packaging is lovely and miniature versions of anything is adorable so I was initially very happy with it all. I then started applying it presuming that it would be a pretty opaque polish but unfortunately these are very sheer and take 4+ coasts to make it look even sort of opaque (annoying!). This was the most disappointing thing, although it is nice if I wanted to do a French manicure (using the white and light pinky/purple colours). This is also my first glitter polish! In my older years anyway! I am very impressed with this actually, you don't get a shed load of overpowering glitter if you apply just one coat but you can build this up so I think I'll be reaching for this particular polish quite a lot.

Nails of the day!

Models Own - Pastel Pink
Models Own - White Nail Art Pen
Beauty UK - Matte Top Coat ( I did get this from Superdrug but cannot find it on the website!)
I adore doing my nails lately, I'm doing my best to leave them long instead of cutting them so often and it's great! As you can see I'm not the best with doing my nails, but this is so easy and relaxing to do then why not.
P.S: Some of you may of seen my post saying I was moving to another blog address, alas the indecisive person in me has come back here so thought I'd just clear that up! :)

Quick Life Update

Birthday banner and balloons at home.
My baby cousin / Krispy Kreme's / Flowers from my best friend
Normal J20 vs enormous coke glass at F&B / Flowers from my boyfriend / Tasty lip balm!
I turned 20 last weekend! I'm still not sure whether I'm happy about this or not haha. I thankfully was able to have the whole weekend off from work which meant I got to see family and a few friends which was a great break from all these Uni assignments. My mom got up early to get me 24 Krispy Kreme doughnuts (and a balloon!) which pretty much made my day already, I was then given my other pressies and got a visit from my nan, my uncle and baby cousin (who is always adorable). Then I got surprised by my two amazing friends who came to pick me up, we got pizza and went to the arcade and it was lovely (They also gave me flowers which are so so beautiful!). Finally, on the night me, my boyfriend and my family went to Frankie and Benny's for a meal and it was amazing. I recommend there 100%, everything was just perfect!
As I'm busy doing Uni work (or at least trying to do it..) blogging has to take a step back for another week or so. Next post will hopefully be April favourites!

April's GlossyBox!

Spoiler Alert!

Whew! After having an email from GlossyBox a few days ago saying this months box should be here today or tomorrow then I instantly worried that knowing my luck it would get here Saturday..the day I'm not at home (it's my birthday tomorrow so I'm going to see family)! Thankfully I waited around for a bit before I went to get ready and the lovely Royal Mail van arrived in my drive (to which I jumped a little bit and then realised I'm still in my jammies looking gross..oops!)

This months box is featuring all "natural" products and came in a gorgeous cream box! Here are the products I received this month and my first impressions on them:
Caudalie: Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum
I like the idea of this, definitely more for people with dry skin but as mine is relatively normal most   of the time then I don't see me using it that much. Although, I did just apply this and it does feel really nice but I can't comment on how good the product is until later on!
Inika Cosmetics: Organic Eyeliner in Peacock Blue
First thought on this was "Blue? Really?", I'm honestly probably never going to use this as coloured eyeliner sort of scares me! Although it is very well pigmented and maybe I'll give it a go this weekend.
Ayuuri: Natural Body Wash in Rose
I loveeeee body wash so this I was very excited about. When first opening the bottle to take a sniff I couldn't really smell anything and was really disappointed! But after trying it out on my hand you can smell it and it's gorgeous! My worry was it was going to be really strong, but so far so good! I'm super impressed with this so far as this is a really decent size bottle at 200ml!
Figs & Rouge: Lip Balm in Rambling Rose
I was half and half on this, I loved the packaging of this lip balm but then I read it was rose scented and pulled a face at it. It's apparently a lip, face and body balm so maybe for a quick bit of fragrance it'd be nice but I really do not like putting this on my lips. I predicted this to be a balm..like it said so I went to put some on my finger and almost ruined the whole product as it was all...mushy? That sounds gross.
Kai: Perfume Oil
Totally spilled half of this everywhere when first opening it as this type of packaging is so awkward! I don't have much to say on this, it smells nice but reminds me so much of my Grandma so I might just give it her to use.
Overall and being honest, if the body wash hadn't of been in this box then I would of been so disappointed. I will do my best to properly try out these products as I seem to be hoarding a lot of GlossyBox stuff lately instead of using them..
Finally, I've heard that it's Glossy's 1 year anniversary next month too so I'm hoping for great stuff in the next box!
P.S Sorry for not posting much lately! I've been (and still am) super stressed about University work so I'm trying to do that.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Review

When I first got this almost a month ago (I think..?) I loved it, I was aware that it was probably too orange for my skin tone so all I needed to do was make sure I blended it well! I loved it! But after a while the lazy bones in me just got fed up with it, I had to blend it so well in to my neck and the top of my chest that it was just ridiculous and a waste of product really. Also, there is a shimmer in this foundation which doesn't seem noticeable when looking at yourself in the mirror but whenever I put a bit of product on my hand it looked like I've been crafting with a 5 year old (which would be fun..but still!) so I'm not sure if my face looked like that..let's hope not. BUT there are some good points; the coverage is great, it smells nice and I suppose it does wake me up but I think I always feel more awake after my make up regardless of using this foundation or not!
I've stopped using this foundation now and moved on once again, maybe I'll come back to it around summer time but I know I certainly won't be purchasing it again. Oh well!
