1. What is your favourite trend of SS12?
Definitely the pastel trend! It's much more wearable to me than all the bright and neon trends.

2. What are your favourite online stores to buy from?
Etsy would be my favourite, there's just so much amazing and different stuff on there that I wouldn't be able to find anywhere else!

3. Why did you start writing a blog?
This one I only started at the end of Jan this year, I've previously had other blogs but this is my first "proper" blog and I'm really enjoying it. :D

4. What language do you wish you could speak?
French! It's such a beautiful (and sort of sexy!) language, I'd love to be able to speak it somewhat fluently.

5. Which perfume could you not give up?
Eh, I adore a few perfumes but I wouldn't say that I couldn't give them up. Most days I tend to forget about perfume all together to be honest! But my favourites are Beyonce's Heat and Britney Spears Fantasy.

6. What phone do you have?
I have the iPhone 4S, I am a huge lover of iPhones and honestly can not see myself with any other type of phone.

7. What is your favourite movie?
I'm not a huge movie buff (unlike my boyfriend which can be frustrating at times!), I prefer TV series but I guess my favourite movie would be The Little Mermaid... Don't laugh! I adore the songs, the whole freaking thing and I always cry at the end without fail.

8. Three essential beauty products?
Volume Million Lashes mascara, Body Shop Bronzer and can I class my Tangle Teezer as a beauty product?! That thing makes brushing my hair such a nicer experience!

9. What was your last purchase?
Worth mentioning? Ibuprofen and a little pot of vaseline. Woooo!

10. What is your favourite kind of music?
Ohhh what a difficult question. I love most music, I'm definitely a lover of pretty much everything that's in the general charts! But I also have a complete soft spot for 90's/early 2000's music, what's not to love there?!

11. What do you think of social networks?
I like them, as long as you're careful with what information you're putting out there of course! I certainly enjoy facebook as it's nice knowing what everyone is up too (who doesn't love a good gossip every now and again?!) but what I don't like about facebook is when people check-in when they're at home or something, what's the point!? Now everyone knows you're about to go to bed and where you live, doesn't seem like the best idea to me! haha.

Now it's finally becoming a little bit warmer outside I can finally start to look decent again! All though winter I tend to just put anything on in hopes I'll stay cosy haha.

Top: Dorothy Perkins / Jeggings: Cheapo ones from Sainsburys! / Necklace: I believe it's was from Dorothy Perkins but they no longer have it on their site, but owl necklaces are pretty easy to come by!

I also teamed this outfit up with the bag above but I have the cream one which for some reason is not on the website. I have sorta kinda fallen in love with Rebecca Minkoff's Mini Mac bags which these half remind me of, so until I can afford to spend £120 on a bag I'll have to stick with these!

"Entertain Your Inner Child"

I have been a fan of this website for quite a few months and everything on there is so different and simply wonderful. Above I have selected 7 of my favourite items (believe me I could of had many many more!) and here's why I love these;

1. These Swiss Measuring Spoons I feel would be perfect for my little kitchen, it's so convenient that these would just be able to fit in my utensils draw and not clog it up unlike other measuring spoons which always just spread out all over the shop! I also feel this is quite manly so I'm sure my boyfriend would love this too haha.

2. Happy Food Town Lunch Tote. Isn't this adorable?! What I initially thought about using this for was storing all of our crisps, wouldn't that be cute? We currently have them in some ugly supermarket bag so this would be a big step up!

3. Happy Mood Treasure Box. Cookie tin anyone?! This just looks awesome and has the phrase "For your Daily Pleasure" on so duh this sounds like a perfect place for my cookies! (Although it might be more of an hourly pleasure than a daily one ;D)

4. Tea-Rex Tea Towel. Now, I do the washing up in this house and although I like my current very cute tea towels to dry up with, would't this be awesome?!

5. Doomed Crystal Skull Shot Glass. Okay seriously, isn't this just brilliant? I've seen this around a few times (Y'know on tumblr being all in hipster photos and stuff) and just thought that was so cool! Personally, I very rarely drink (like I still have vodka in my fridge from last Julyish that I haven't touched) but maybe I'd just have milk shots or something. That's cool right?!

6. Eco Cold Drink Cup. I seem to be cursed with knocking my drinks over lately, so this just seems like a good idea to me! Not only would I want to drink more but I could be as much as a klutz as I wanted (well not too much)!

7. Dish Wish Scrub Brush. I do already have a scrub brush for washing up but oh my gosh, thankfully it's not in stock till March as I would of already got one (or two, just incase!)

Sunday Summary!

What a week! Well, it's not been too amazing but I'll carry on. Firstly I will mention that on Saturday I've been a whole week without crisps! I am definitely a crispaholic so it was a big thing for me at the start to quit it completely, but after a few days it was nothing! I'm so proud that I didn't give in, I usually just last a day then binge on them the next night haha.
Next, I was able to go home for a few nights this week which was lovely and I got to spend quality time with my family (which I forever miss). I also got this note from my Nan (and some pocket money..yes I'm 19, at Uni and have a job but my grandparents and my nan still give me pocket money sometimes!);

Finally, I had a..scary time at work today and I'd like to document it as it was ridiculous! So firstly, I work at a retail store and was asked to take out the bins (which after almost working there for 7 months I'd never been told where to put them!) which means going out the fire exit by the staff room, where nobody else was. So I took out the rubbish and one of the cardboard boxes basically screwed me over and the door shut behind me...Fire exit doors are made so it shuts behind people..not stay open.. So after a few tries of frantically pulling and pushing the door (making the situation worse) and concluding that I was indeed locked out of work I only had the option to find my way through all of the back exits of the stores (creepy dark and cold corridors are not my favourite place to be, especially not on my own!) and go through the front and look like a twat... This took literally about 10 mins to find my way out and it was all in all... embarrassing but hilarious as of course it would happen to me on my first time doing it! ANYWAY ok bye! :P

Candy Shop Pop By New Look

I definitely have a love or hate relationship with New Look, I either love lots of things or think everything is rubbish! I am 100% in love with this trend and already knowing that pastels and neons were going to be huge this spring/summer I could not wait to have a look at this collection.

As I was looking through pages and pages of this trend I found myself to have opened at least 20 tabs on items that I liked..Oops! Time to whittle it down a bit, here's what I've cut it down too.

Song Of The Week

Pretty much all week I've been listening to this cover, I found their channel through this tumblr and if you are not aware of this song then...why the hell not?! The original is already brilliant but this cover has made me fall in love with the song all over again. Lydia (the dark haired girl) has a beautiful voice and gives it something extra whilst Becky (blonde hair) does amazingly on the guitar and obviously puts everything she can in to it. Definitely give it a listen or maybe you'd prefer another one of their covers (or original songs)!

Home Decor

Ever since I've lived in my own (well sort of) place I've fell in love with home decor, I always have done but have never been able to thrive off it. I've been having a bit of spree lately so here's some of my finds!

I can not think of the proper name of this... it's like a pin board but you're able to put pictures underneath the ribbon..You know what I mean? Anyway, I got this from a local shop called New England (Which is adorable!) which sells some really nice stuff. They have a wide selection of Yankee Candles, Cath Kidston things and various other cute home ware! I can't remember how much I paid for this but it was somewhere around the £10-£20 mark so not bad, I just have to find a place to put it!

I have been loving candles lately and been desperately trying to find another one that I love (I'll talk about that later). After going to New England and dragging my boyfriend in to smell every single one with me, we found this! Pink Sands is a very fresh and relaxing scent so it's perfect for the hour (or two!) long baths I like to take haha.

I've had this poster for a good few months and am so happy I've finally got it in a frame! This poster means a lot to me so I can't wait to have it up on my walls, also it's such good quality I'm considering buying more (But don't want everyone to think I'm running an opticians haha!).

These owls were a present from my mom for Christmas, I was actually looking at these the day before and talked myself out of buying them! My mom knows me so well! They both have little LED's in and didn't cost more than £8 for them both (I don't think anyway). The tea light holder in the middle was made by my Grandpa, he works with stained glass and my Grandma gave it me as she never uses it!

The candle holder on the left is from Matalan (Unfortunately can't find it on the website) and holds my Christmas Cookie candle from Yankee. I brought two of these little candles about two years ago from their website having never smelt them, I unfortunately hated them when they arrived but I now love them! The clock (which doesn't have batteries in because it makes a really loud ticking sound that me and my boyfriend can't stand) was from my Grandparents and the heart is actually a gift tag from my Aunty and Uncle but I thought it was too cute to throw away!

This is a very messy photo but I had to show these! The lamp is (once again) from my Grandparents, to make the story short.. they gave me two, they were very old and this one fell off a stand it was on on the first day I brought it back which broke the glass around the bulb! I was devastated and cried for quite some time, but hey it doesn't look too bad... The pink thing is actually an owl candle! It was on sale in TopShop for only £3! Bargain shopper no.1? I think so. Although my boyfriend keeps saying we have to burn it at some point, but I'm refusing!! The owl on the right (wow maybe I do have too many owls) was a present from my boyfriend last Christmas and was from the kids section in Marks and Spencer,

Spending Too Much!

I have a slight problem with spending money, although I don't do the normal thing of splurging it all on clothes and what have you..it's usually food. Takeaways and buying treats whenever we go shopping are what I usually find myself spending the most on! My main new years resolution was to manage my spending and to not blow it on stupid things, therefore I will be documenting how much I've been spending each month and just generally talking about it. This (I hope) will help me realise to stop being a fool and buying things I don't need!

This month I have spent: £347.87
Which looks a lot better after the reductions I made as I took away a certain amount because of the money that my parents gave me for Christmas. That's fair right?

This month I had to buy some University books (which all add up, spending almost £70 on two books is not fun), more work uniform (£30!), a bookcase, all new printer ink (as it's incredibly over-priced at uni to print stuff off!) and attempted to fall in love with GlossyBox again (received my box earlier in the week, wasn't all impressed....again and have now unsubbed again.). Also spent quite a bit on food..
So this month hasn't been too bad, I got paid quite a bit from work so it covers all of those costs and Christmas money obviously helped.
This month has already not got on to such a great start.. I'll do my best to be as frugal as possible from now on!

Scrimpers Striped Nails!

I took this nail look from the Channel 4 programme called 'SuperScrimpers'. This programme involves ways to save money and I love it. Last week it showed us how to create "professional" looking nails without going out and paying someone else to do it!

Obviously this was my first time doing this but I'm still happy with the outcome and all it took to do this was sellotape!

Finally, I did something more creative with my nails and I've been dying to try this for ages! As I have work over the weekend I decided to go for something that was a little more subtle (and matched my uniform ;)) and could be quickly be re-done if needed.

I generally avoid Topshop at all costs thanks to my years of when I used to spend all of my money there. But I made an exception to go and have a proper look at the make up range and found the felt tip eyeliner pen. I'd heard quite a bit about it and thought I might as well treat myself and find out for myself if it was good or not!

There was a tray of them with the majority missing the plastic seal at the top but thankfully there was one at the bottom of the tray just sitting there waiting for me all wrapped perfectly. After taking this home and trying it I found that you definitely need to apply more pressure than you think as otherwise the line is quite faint. This pen was only £6.50 so it's not bad price wise, but I definitely won't be purchasing again! If anyone knows any better eyeliner pens I'd love to know about them!

Parenting Worries

First things first, I'm not pregnant but that doesn't stop me worrying about when I am! My mother is amazing and perfect and in no way do I think that I can compare to her when I have children of my own so this is what's worrying me. I am scared to death that my child will just rebel and I won't be able to cope or something ridiculous like that. I don't plan to be pregnant until me and my husband are both in good jobs where we have a good stable income and we can drive, those are my rules! Knowing I'll be complaining all the way through the pregnancy I certainly do not want to worry about money.

I'm going to stop now in fear that I'm going to get myself even more worked up about it all!

I avoided buying a Tangle Teezer for a while, but I gave in and have not regretted it ever since. It's so nice to use and doesn't make me want to cry when trying to brush my hair when I come out of the bath!
I brought my Bella Bamba brush by Benefit from Debenhams in the Christmas sales! It was in a gift set with some other products and I only had to pay £20 for all of it! This is a beautiful pink blush and very very pigmented so a little goes a long way. Unfortunately, my boyfriend dropped it and it's now smashed in to various pieces..but I make it work!
Temple Run is a free app on the Apple store which has had a lot of hype over the past month. It's a very addicting app which I'm not very good at..but I did finally reach 1 million yesterday. Which I bragged about all night. ;D
Jetpack Joyride is another free app from the Apple store which is again very addicting. Easy, yet somewhat challenging and all in all fun. This game has kept me coming back simply because of the objectives. I've definitely played this for a lot longer than Temple Run.
Suits is a US show about two (very handsome!) men who are lawyers, well one of them anyway. It has recently come to the UK and airs on the channel Dave on Tuesdays. It's very witty and so addicting, me and my boyfriend have already watched all of the first series (all in one night, whoops!).
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder (Shade 1) is a subtle non shimmery bronzing powder which is what I've been looking for for ages! It makes me feel like it warms my complexion a tad and with being as pale as I am I need it!
The Innocent Smoothie that I've sort of fallen in love with...is a children's one. Which makes it that little bit more awkward to find around town but never the less this is my health fix for the day!

Can't I be all of those things?!

Of course not, I'm not even 100% if I want to still be a Web Designer (this is my most recent one, I have wanted to do this for a good year or so). I like a lot of things, like the above but I don't know whether I could do any of them for a living! Recently, I've had the opportunity to work with a company where I could start learning about how to build websites and start creating. I was excited but recently I had to create a website for Uni and didn't find it as fun as I had done in the past.

I think it's completely normal to not know what you want to do at my age but I am desperately weighing up my options trying to figure out what I'm actually good at and what I could make a living out of one day.

Ever since me and my brother were little our parents would take us on long walks, take us to castles, take us to museums and drag us in to every single charity shops, we hated it. I even remember hating it all so much that I'd sometimes pretend I was ill so I could stay at home.
BUT NOW, oh now I adore all of those things. I love charity shops and definitely would not pass up the chance for a nice ol' walk in the country side by a lake or something. Castles and museums not so much, unless they're something I'm interested in..but I don't think there is a museum about daytime TV and food. But maybe one day.

I am the pickiest eater in the whole world and have been for pretty much since I was very young. I don't eat vegetables or fruit (maybe very little) and I know it's terrible but I simply just don't like any thing like that!
Literally my Sunday dinner involves; meat, potatoes (in the form of chips or potato bites but they have to be a little overdone..strange I know), yorkshire puddings and gravy...yep that's it. I'm terrible and I'm really trying to be more experimental this year with food. But it's proving to be difficult.
I've read a lot of articles giving tips on how to widen your food choices which all in all haven't helped much. But on Saturday after work I popped in to my newsagents to pick up some lunch and made sure that it was somewhat healthy. I picked up some chicken pasta, an innocent smoothie and a strawberry muller corner yoghurt. I was very proud of myself! Admittedly I didn't eat all of the pasta as cold pasta is just a bit bleh but the chicken was good!
I think the only way I'm going to start eating healthy is to go towards the fruit side of it, definitely juice. Wish me luck!

A little bit about me;

This blog has been something I've wanted to do for some time now which will hopefully inspire some creativity in me which I've lacked for a while.
